Dan Morrison is the former Director of Bands at Ronald Reagan High School in San Antonio, TX, as well as the founder of Happy, Not Satisfied, host of the Happy, Not Satisfied podcast, founder of Morrison Creative LLC, and program coordinator for the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps.
Under Dan’s leadership and creative direction at Reagan, the band was a consistent UIL State Marching Contest Finalist, multiple-time Bands of America Regional and Super Regional Champion, and a BOA Grand National Finalist. In addition, the band performed in the Macy’s Parade in New York City, the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California, and at The Midwest Clinic, the international band and orchestra conference in Chicago, IL. The program also received the National Band Association National Blue Ribbon Award. Dan was named the 2020 Young Band Director of the Year in the state of Texas.
As a designer for the marching arts, bands Dan works with have been named BOA regional champions, UIL state finalists, Western Band Association state champions, and Macy’s and Rose Parade participants.
Dan has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in music education from the University of Illinois and a Master of Business Administration from the USC Marshall School of Business. He lives in San Antonio, TX with his family.
