Sarah Szuminski joined the executive committee for the Chamber Orchestra of San Antonio in 2014 with a focus on marketing for the organization and was elected to the board in 2015. Raised in San Antonio, Sarah has an interest in the city’s enrichment through the growth and accessibility of the arts. She acquired a love for classical music in childhood through years of ballet lessons and playing violin. Her late grandmother, Elizabeth Szuminski, was a lifelong violinist, performing professionally in her younger years and later giving music lessons. Sarah received a Bachelor of Science in journalism from Texas A&M University, where she also served as editor for the institution’s daily newspaper. She is presently the vice president of marketing and communications for Genesis Networks, a San Antonio-based provider of technology solutions to the communications and large enterprise markets.
